Mawu, a bright 12-year-old from Sumba, used to skip school to help his family work in the rice fields. Thanks to the Sumba Foundation’s School Lunch Program, he now receives nutritious meals that allow him to attend school regularly and focus on his studies. With improved attendance and a passion for learning, Mawu dreams of attending university, a goal he once thought impossible. (This part from here could be added to the full story perhaps or left here at the preview? Same for all the rest of the stories?)A $25 donation provides a month of meals for students like Mawu, and $50 funds their after-school education, giving Sumba’s children the resources they need to succeed.
