Why the Future?

Many cannot go on to receive a higher education to make a career for themselves.

The Sumba Foundation’s commitment to furthering education and giving those without the financial means the opportunity to pursue their passions runs deep through all our projects.

Without access to water and decent healthcare, children cannot go to school. Without proper nutrition, they cannot develop physically or mentally. Without an opportunity to study at a university, many cannot go on to receive higher education and make a career for themselves.

In accordance with the Internal Revenue Service guidelines, The Sumba Foundation maintains discretion and sole control over the use of all donated funds. All donations are non-refundable. In practice, The Sumba Foundation honors the donor’s request for any of our pre-approved programs and projects whenever possible. In rare cases when that is not possible, gifts will be used where needed. Therefore, donors explicitly release The Sumba Foundation from any restrictions on how those funds are spent.
