In addition to supporting primary and high school education, the Sumba Foundation helps students continue their education by rewarding top students with scholarships. Those who qualify for these scholarships and complete their higher education often return to Sumba to contribute to their community.

Scholarships offerred are for majors essential to the island’s development, such as:

• Nursing
• Dentistry
• Administration
• Sports The selection process is highly competitive, aiming to identify exceptionally bright students. As of September 2024, we have awarded 84 university scholarships.
