On June 17, 2019, we proudly inaugurated our flagship Learning Development Center in Hobawawi, which offers English language, computer classes and sports for students after school. The center quickly became a thriving hub of learning, attracting hundreds of students of all ages.

In 2022, we expanded our outreach by establishing two additional Learning Development Centers, bringing the total to three. These centers provide children from diverse backgrounds with opportunities to improve their English language proficiency and computer skills.

In 2024, for the first time ever on Sumba, we organized an English Speech Contest at our Hobawawi Learning Center with the theme “Indonesia in the Eyes of Children: Education and Tourism”, bringing together the best of the best students from the schools we teach at. The event was attended by senior government officials, principals from the schools and parents.  It was amazing to see how proficient these students had become. Another event is scheduled to take place at the end of November 2025.
