Since the launch of our Malaria Control Program in 2004, we have made significant strides in reducing malaria cases by 93% and contributed to a 71% decrease in malaria incidence across Sumba. We aim to eradicate malaria in Sumba within the next decade. Key components of our Malaria Control Program include:
- Free malaria diagnosis
- High-quality treatment
- Mass blood screening and treatment for entire villages
- Free mosquito nets to reduce the risk of reinfection
- Expert-level malaria education for all health staff at the Malaria Training Center
